Sanny\u2019s passion for the special fabric<\/span><\/span> that is <\/span><\/span>damask is reflected in many different areas.<\/span><\/span> For example, <\/span><\/span>ask her to give a lecture for your guests or club, and watch as they listen with increasing <\/span><\/span>amazement<\/span><\/span> to the fascinating history<\/span><\/span> of linen.<\/span><\/span>\u202f<\/span><\/span>Or, <\/span><\/span>ask her to value your tablecloths, napkins, lace and other linen. Sanny <\/span><\/span>also <\/span><\/span>puts all her creativity and enthusiasm into producing exhibitions about <\/span><\/span>the many facets of <\/span><\/span>linen, from setting the table to making the bed, <\/span><\/span>and <\/span><\/span>from <\/span><\/span>miniscule<\/span><\/span> stitches to centuries-old linen presses.<\/span><\/span> She has <\/span><\/span>also <\/span><\/span>written three books, all of which have sold out, and is <\/span><\/span>now<\/span><\/span> working on a new book about linen and damask through the centuries.<\/span><\/span> It is<\/span><\/span> also<\/span><\/span> possible to<\/span><\/span> borrow <\/span><\/span>a copy of <\/span><\/span>her thesis <\/span><\/span>on<\/span><\/span> the linen of Twickel Castle <\/span><\/span>(<\/span><\/span>please see the <\/span><\/span>Publications<\/span><\/span> page<\/span><\/span><\/a>)<\/span><\/span>. A very special project was Sanny\u2019s small contribution to <\/span><\/span>the Dutch <\/span><\/span>Queen M\u00e1xima\u2019s\u202flinen set<\/span><\/span>,<\/span><\/span> together with the <\/span><\/span>Vorsten Royale<\/span><\/span><\/em>\u202f<\/span><\/span>magazine<\/span><\/span>\u202f<\/span><\/span>for the royal wedding to Dutch King Willem Alexander <\/span><\/span>in 2001\/2002.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
